Hello everybody. My name is Jimmy.
Hello everybody. My name is Jimmy.

Step 1 of 41
Hello everybody. My name is Jimmy.
2
Step 2 of 41
I have been living in Hong Kong for 10 years. My favorite movie is Zhang Shibang, because Zhang Shibang is very handsome.
3
Step 3 of 41
How is it going, guys? Today I would like to share to you on how Chinese people speak English.
4
Step 4 of 41
When you listen to Chinese people speaking English, normally, you have this perception that they were speaking Chinese.
5
Step 5 of 41
What is the main reason? What is the cause to this scenario? When I found out that Chinese people who are about to learn English, they have adopted the wrong method.
6
Step 6 of 41
That they disregarded the pronunciations, the schwa sound, the silent letters and spelling.
7
Step 7 of 41
So if you want to learn English, it is okay to translate English words to Chinese so you can understand, but please don't transliterate.
8
Step 8 of 41
Transliterations is a transition of sound and tone, and they are later correspondences to one language and to another.
9
Step 9 of 41
In other meaning, they use Chinese words that have almost similar sound or tone, and they use it to replace a small part of an English word.
10
Step 10 of 41
So they use all these Chinese characters to pronounce every single English word, and it is very very wrong.
11
Step 11 of 41
So right now, I'm about to speak Chinese in phrases and words that practically has no structures, has no grammars, has no meaning at all.
12
Step 12 of 41
Just hear me out. Hello, everybody. My name is Jimmy.
13
Step 13 of 41
I have been living in Hong Kong for tea yet.
14
Step 14 of 41
Yes. My favorite movie is "Zhan Si Bang".
15
Step 15 of 41
Because "Zhan Si Bang" is very hansheng, so if you don't understand me, no worries, because I was speaking Chinese.
16
Step 16 of 41
However, if you can notice that I was actually speaking English, this is Chinese accent English.
17
Step 17 of 41
So if you understand Chinese and you know how to read Chinese characters, you can read the phrase that I was just talking about.
18
Step 18 of 41
If you manage to say all these Chinese words, and you are speaking Chinese accent English.
19
Step 19 of 41
So for all these words, I'm going to put it in the video description below.
20
Step 20 of 41
So just go and have a try, read and speak those words, and you're going to sound like Chinese speaker.
21
Step 21 of 41
So if you really want to learn how to speak Chinese accent English, why don't you just learn Mandarin? So because of the dominance of transliteration, Chinese people tend to pronounce every consonant.
22
Step 22 of 41
Of course, there are a lot of Chinese words that have English loan words.
23
Step 23 of 41
For example, "Shopping" into "Shue Ping", "Hacker" "Hei Ke", "Shak" "Xiu Ke", "I'm Very Xiu Ke", "Hamburger" "Hamburger" "Han Bao", "Safa" and "Gao Er Fu".
24
Step 24 of 41
So there are lots more, I'm not going to say more about it. But what I really don't like is that the media and the entertainment industry has abused this transliteration in the Chinese language.
25
Step 25 of 41
That they transliterated all celebrity names and brands, which is a shame.
26
Step 26 of 41
For example, as I said previously, "James Bond", they would say it as "Zhang Si Bang".
27
Step 27 of 41
Brad Pitt is "Fu Raider Peter". David Beckham is "Da Wei" "Bei Ke Han Mu".
28
Step 28 of 41
I love David "Bei Ke Han Mu". But you know what? Things are getting better now, because they didn't transliterate "Iron Man" into "Iron Man".
29
Step 29 of 41
"Spider-Man" into "Spider-Man" into "Spider-Man".
30
Step 30 of 41
"Pan-os" into "Tan-os". Another one is "我看他佛爱我".
31
Step 31 of 41
So another one is that Chinese people never say the "N" word, which is "Nigger".
32
Step 32 of 41
What's up, my nigger? Normally, when you see the words that has "AN" or "ON", for example, "WAND", they would say it as "WANG".
33
Step 33 of 41
"WAND", "WANG", "WAND", "WANG". "I WAND YOU", "YOU THE ONLY ONE".
34
Step 34 of 41
"DAUSEND WANG", "MY BEAST WANG".
35
Step 35 of 41
So another one which is "HANDSOME". If you can notice previously, I say this word "HANDSOME", they would neglect the "N" sound and just say it as "HANG SUNG" or "HANG SUNG".
36
Step 36 of 41
You look very "HANG SUNG". Another one is "Country".
37
Step 37 of 41
"KANG DELY". My "KANG DELY" is "China". So another one is "Phone".
38
Step 38 of 41
Can I have your phone number? I got the "YOU DOZI" now.
39
Step 39 of 41
And I want "$500,000". "$500,000,000"? You must be starving.
40
Step 40 of 41
So another one is that Chinese people cannot pronounce "TH" and "T".
41
Step 41 of 41
So they only apply for several words. several words, for example, this 低似, that 沙子, train, 车炼, I train very hard, I 车炼, 只为厉害的, that man is handsome, 傻着面子一时夸生, so you know what, I feel like I'm practicing my Chinese, because seeing all these words, actually I need to find out how they really sound like, actually I need to check the 汉语评, so I can pronounce it correctly, you know what, I fooled a U, I 死定一时夸的 任何 mandolin, personally, I think that this video can be educational for Chinese people to avoid speaking in this way, don't do transliteration, because it will affect you speaking in English, and the N sound, and the TH sound, apart from that, there are other English accents that you can learn, which are Russian, Scottish, and Indian accents, I'll see you in the next video.
